Handknit Holidays

Coming soon! Three designs in Handknit Holidays, a book by Melanie Falick, to be published by Stewart, Tabori & Chang. Due to come out fall 2005, this book features items for Christmas and gift giving, as well as associated stories and traditions of the designers featured in the book.

JoLene’s designs feature a mitten inspired by a cookie her maternal grandmother made every year at Christmas (the recipe is included as well). Also included are a shawl inspired by the town of New Harmony, Indiana, and a family gansey inspired by the wooded area near her grandparents log cabin on Palestine Lake, Indiana.
